PROGRAMS CENTERING FIRST GENERATION STUDENTS AT NMSU
We are a supportive academic community working together towards academic excellence and achievement. We help students who are first generation, may have a financial need, and students with disabilities reach their full potential and achieve academic success.
This program is designed to provide valuable services to lowincome, first generation, and/orstudents with disabilities pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering, math, and health fields. We collaborate with resources on campus as well provide unique workshops to develop and support the specific skills needed by students in these challenging majors.
Through premiere, personalized scholarly activities and services throughout their junior and senior years, our students receive support from our staff andfaculty in preparing for, gaining entrance to, and completing doctoral (Ph.D.) programs. We encourage academically talented NMSU students interested in
graduate studies and who are first generation with financial need, or from groups underrepresented in graduate education, to apply.

Since 2002, the CAMP Program at New Mexico State University has served the post-secondary educational needs of migrant and seasonal farmworkers, dairyworkers, and ranchworkers from across New Mexico and far West Texas. We are truly pleased to continue honoring our NMSU CAMP mission: to recruit, retain, and graduate farmworker students at NMSU.
